It mainly includes: ① raw material pre-processing. The massive raw materials (quartz sand, soda ash, limestone, feldspar, etc.) are crushed to dry the wet raw materials, and the iron containing raw materials are removed to ensure the glass quality. ② Batch preparation. ③ Melting. The glass batch is heated at high temperature (1550 ~ 1600 degrees) in the tank furnace or crucible kiln to form uniform, bubble free liquid glass which meets the molding requirements. ④ Molding. The liquid glass is processed into products of required shape, such as flat plate, various utensils, etc. ⑤ Heat treatment. Through annealing, quenching and other processes, the internal stress, phase separation or crystallization of glass can be eliminated or produced, and the structural state of glass can be changed.
Frosted glass processing method: first put the flat glass to be processed on the worktable with coarse cloth or cotton blanket, then stack appropriate amount of fine emery on the glass surface, use the coarse porcelain bowl to buckle the emery, and press the bottom of the bowl with both hands to push it in circles. It can also be ground with a higher grade terrazzo floor. The grinding operation should start from the surrounding corners and gradually move to the middle until the glass surface is ground to uniform milky white, so as to achieve light transmission and no perspective.
The processing method of Silver Engraved Glass: firstly, the flat glass is washed with water and dried in the air, and then the paraffin is carved into various patterns, and the glass surface is corroded with 1:5 concentration of hydrofluoric acid solution. Finally pour out hydrofluoric acid to remove paraffin and clean the glass with water.
